At home spa treatment under $4

I have to admit that I haven't always taken the best care of my skin that I could have. I'm definitely a sun worshipper and love being outdoors. If I didn't treat my skin a couple times a week, I would be dry and itchy year round.

For me, expensive spa treatments are out of the question. I wouldn't have the time or the money to dedicate to it. However, last year I discovered a really relaxing way to keep my dry skin at bay.

During a regular outing to my local Kroger store, I perused the aisles for just a regular bottle of baby oil to remove my makeup at night. I spotted Johnson and Johnson's baby oil with shea and cocoa butter in it. I loved the smell, so I purchased it for around $3.85.

What began as something to remove makeup soon found an even better use. I came home one dry with extremely dry and itchy legs which I exfoliated in the shower with a loofah. After my shower, I ran a nice warm bath in my garden tub and added about an 1/8 of a cup of the baby oil. After soaking my entire body for 15-20 minutes, I sat on the side of the tub and worked my now soft feet over with a foot file, paying special attention to my heels. I allow my skin to dry naturally so I'm not toweling off the oil. I just run my hands over my skin until the oil soaks in really well.

This treatment has become a regular routine 2 or 3 times a week. It's definitely "Me" time and I wouldn't trade anything for it. A bottle of oil usually lasts me about a month. Now for $3.85, you can't find a spa that will beat that!
