Make lips look fuller without injections

Harper's lip discoveries...

Wow, these are the tips that I found out from various make up artists AFTER I had my lips injected with Juvederm in 2007.

Believe me, it was quite a long wait (about 6 months) for my "Duck bill" lips to get return to normal. I had long dreamed of having my lips done and since I was working in a medical office where I could do that at a discount, I was definitely game!

Let me just say that there just isn't a way to know how lip injections will look on you until you do it. Problem is, it takes months to deflate if you aren't happy with the results. For me, it pretty drastically altered my appearance and the lips were the first thing you noticed. Ugh! I was suddenly one of those women that I talked about.

After a lot of research and trying different applications, below are the best tips that I have discovered to make lips look fuller with drastically altering your appearance:

1. Stay away from dark lipsticks and liners. Stick to light and glossy with a hint of color.

2. Rub lips with a soft toothbrush or hand towel to exfoliate.

3. Always keep lips moisturized with lip balm, gloss or lipstick. Never let them dry out, even at night. Keep balm next to your bed and apply just before you go to sleep.

4. Dab clear gloss or shimmer cream onto your cupids bow (the notch above your upper lip)and rub a little upward toward your nose, this creates a more turned up look of your upper lip.

5. Dab and blend a little brown eyeliner or brown eye shadow just below your bottom lip to give the lip the appearance of being more turned down toward the chin and fuller.

6. Unless you're allergic, try a plumping gloss containing cinnamon or peppermint.

7. Drink plenty of water and avoid caffeine to keep lips hydrated from the inside out.

These tips are definitely worth working into your routine!

My favorite places to find plumping gloss and regular gloss is mark. cosmetics http://kcrenshaw.mymarkstore.com/
